Enrollment for the McKinleyville Union School District Expanded Learning Program (ELP) is completed through the Playground platform. Families may access Playground via the mobile app or a web browser.

Please note: Submitting an application does not guarantee placement in the program.

Afterschool Enrollment

2025–2026 School Year

  • Afterschool applications submitted after the May 17, 2025 deadline will be placed on a waitlist.

2026–2027 School Year

  • Afterschool Enrollment Applications OPEN at 5:30 p.m.

  • The annual application cycle opens on TK/K Information Night and closes in May at Morris Open House for the following school year.

 

Important Enrollment Notes:

  • Playground enrollment is completed once per school year.

  • After completing the annual enrollment, families may apply for additional ELP offerings.

  • All outstanding fees must be paid by May 31. Unpaid balances may result in waitlist placement.

Break Camps

ELP Break Camps are offered on non-school days and during select school breaks, based on staffing availability and student enrollment.

  • Presidents Week

  • Spring Break

  • Summer

Break Camp Requirements:

  • Families must submit a separate application for each camp and program.

  • Camp availability is dependent on staffing and enrollment.

Playground Account Reminder

If your student already has a Playground profile, do not create a new profile. Duplicate profiles will not be accepted.
