The mission of the McKinleyville Union School District, a student-centered community on the Redwood Coast, is to develop ethical citizens and lifelong learners successfully engaged in a changing global society. For all students we are committed to: Ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive environment; Providing challenging and innovative educational programs; Embracing diversity and a small community as strengths; Promoting critical thinking, digital literacy, multilingualism, and creative expression; Developing confident, self-directed, productive, responsible citizens; and Supporting a caring, well-trained staff.
