Volunteer Approval Procedures
Volunteer Approval Procedures
Dear Prospective Volunteer,
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at our school sites. To ensure the safety and well-being of our students, we ask that you follow the steps outlined below to become a volunteer.
- Volunteers will start by completing our volunteer registration form, available HERE or on our school website.
- You will need to provide a copy of your driver’s license or state ID card.
- Submit the completed form to the appropriate Site Office Manager. It will be reviewed and, if necessary, returned for corrections or forwarded to the Site Administrator.
- The Site Administrator will review your form and forward it to the School Nurse for TB clearance.
- The School Nurse will contact you with a few brief questions to assess your risk for TB. If necessary, a skin test may be requested. TB clearance remains valid for four years.
- After TB clearance, your form will be sent to the Administrative Secretary. You will then be contacted to pick up Live Scan fingerprinting forms at the District Office.
- After you have completed all requirements and have been cleared, you will be notified.
- Cleared volunteers may either apply the fingerprinting fee as a tax write-off or request reimbursement for up to $56.
- Be sure to follow all requirements while on our school sites.
Teachers and administrators have the discretion to determine if volunteer assistance is needed.
If you have any questions about the volunteer process, please contact
